Ag Plastic Collection — Northern Transfer Station

Farmers have the opportunity to drop off used agricultural plastic film for free. Material must be shaken out to remove excess feed/dirt, dry, and sorted according to color/type. Call OCCA Program Director Jeff O’Handley at (607) 282-4087 to register. Acceptable plastics include bale wrap, silage/ag bags, bunker covers. PLEASE NOTE: We are no longer able to accept wood pellet bags. Wood pellet bags may be returned to stores that accept film plastic/single use plastic bags for recycling.  This program is offered in collaboration with the Otsego County Department of Solid Waste, the Otsego County Soil and Water Conservation District, and Casella Waste System, Inc.

A second ag plastic collection will take place at the Southern Transfer Station in Oneonta on Saturday, October 13.
