European frog-bit (Hydrocharis morsus-ranae) is an aquatic invasive plant new to Otsego County. Help us find and remove this nuisance plant from Clarke Pond in the Town of Springfield before it can get into Otsego Lake. Volunteers are needed to patrol the water in kayaks or walk the edge of the pond in search of frog-bit. Kayaks provided. Some waders will be available. Dress to get wet and muddy. PLEASE pre-register. Meet at OCCA (7207 State Highway 80) and we will carpool to the work site.
