Invasive Species: Early Detection and Response – April 8

April 8

Free

Dan Snider, Field Projects Manager for the Catskill Regional Invasive Species Partnership (CRISP) leads this workshop that focuses on efforts to identify and control terrestrial and aquatic invasive species in central New York. Learn about identification and best management practices for plant species that are still at low populations within the region, but have the potential to become highly invasive if not managed early. The workshop is free and open to the public with an emphasis on land and forest owners, master gardeners, high school and college students, and others seeking to play active roles in invasive species management.

This workshop is being offered at two locations and times on April 8:

9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Education Center, 123 Lake Street, Cooperstown;

1:30-3:30 p.m. at the CCE Extension Center, 173 South Grand Street, Cobleskill.

This program is part of a series of workshops on invasive species offered by Cornell Cooperative Extension Schoharie and Otsego Counties, OCCA, and CRISP. Other workshops will be on April 19 and May 27.

Program is free, but pre-registration is required. To register, contact CCE in Cobleskill at (518) 234-4303 ext. 0, or e-mail schoharie@cornell.edu.
