Hemlock Woolly Adelgid Information Session

January 27 @ 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm

The hemlock woolly adelgid (HWA) is here! This tiny invader attacks eastern hemlock trees, a beautiful and important part of our natural landscape. Join us for an informative webinar led by the New York State Hemlock Initiative. The webinar will cover HWA biology and impacts, surveying methods, management options, and how to volunteer to help discover the extent of Otsego County’s HWA infestation. For those interested in volunteering as a HWA spotter, there will also be a field training session in Cooperstown on Saturday, January 29. Webinar is free and open to all; use this link to register: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_CwB26DJzQiqjAIMXF4tXhA . Co-sponsored by OCCA and Mohican Farm.
