Hitting the Links: Leatherstocking Golf Course

10/16/2020 @ 8:00 am to 10:00 am

Stretching along Otsego Lake’s shoreline, Leatherstocking Golf Course is a scenic gem–and one of the top golf courses in New York. Course Superintendent, Mike O’Neill will lead a walk on the greens, fairways and hazards to highlight the practices he employs to manage runoff, conserve water use, and limit the use of pesticides and fertilizers on the course. Enjoy some spectacular views, and learn how these practices aim to minimize the course’s impact on the lake, while keeping it an attractive and desirable place to golf. Meet at the golf course maintenance shop (GPS coordinates 42.711815, -74.924378). This program is free, but we request pre-registration. Please wear a cloth face covering.
