Paddle and Pull–Silver Lake, July 10

July 10 @ 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

A 40-acre lake near the county line, Silver Lake is unfortunately loaded with water chestnut (Trapa natans) and European frog-bit (Hydrocharis morsus-ranae), two aquatic plants deemed “high priority” for removal and control in our region. Help make a dent in the population of these two invasives by joining us for a day of paddling and hand-pulling, which will not only help Silver Lake, but can keep these plants from spreading elsewhere. Please note: only OCCA watercraft will be allowed on the lake. You must pre-register for this program, using the form below. You will receive instructions on where to meet after registration.
