Urban Forestry Walk

Celebrate Arbor Day with an exploration of the Oneonta’s “Urban Forest.” Learn about the benefits of urban forests and what the City of Oneonta is doing to protect its forest against invasive species like the emerald ash borer. The walk will be held at the Swart-Wilcox Historic Park and is part of the City’s Arbor Day events, which also include a tree planting and a demonstration of inoculating ash trees against the emerald ash borer infestation. Free. Tree planting ceremony begins at 10am.
