Chesapeake Bay Headwaters Educational Ecosystem

The Chesapeake Bay Headwaters Educational Ecosystem is a statewide, k-12 Environmental Literacy Initiative. Funded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Bay Watershed Education and Training (B-WET) program, CBHEE is designed to engage and educate teachers on how to develop, integrate and lead Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences (MWEEs) in their classrooms. The program will involve professional development for classroom teachers and administrators, including a five-day summer institute in 2021, as well as single-day introductions for those seeking to learn more about the program.

If you are interested in learning more about MWEEs, visit NOAA’s B-WET page here. If you are a teacher or school administrator in the New York portion of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed and you are interested in learning more about CBHEE, including workshop dates, please fill out this form (takes you to a new page) we’ll add you to our CBHEE mailing list. We’re excited about launching this project and hope you will join us!
