ECO-BULLETIN Vol. 15, No. 15 – November 15, 2021

Thank you to everyone who joined our Clark Tower Hike on 11/11, in conjunction with Glimmerglass Film Days. We had a wonderful turn out!

Throughout the walk, we listened to Program Director Jeff O’Handley, and learned all about local geology, and details about forest soil and plants. We also had a great time identifying ferns and mushrooms!

We are only 15 days away from #GivingTuesday2021!
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 30th, is #GivingTuesday.
Since 2012, #GivingTuesday has grown to a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. It’s this time of year where we shift to a more charitable season.
At OCCA, we are raising $2,000 to continue bringing you engaging public education programs. We do our best work when we’re connecting with you: our donors, volunteers, and supporters through public programs like Invasive Species pulls, Highway Clean ups, educational and exciting walks and paddles, webinars, and so much more!
This #GivingTuesday, we’re asking for your support as we build on these current initiatives. With your help, we can:
Remove more invasive species from our region
Increase our educational programming reach
Increase total community savings of heating and cooling costs
Expand the enjoyment of our beautiful home through nature walks and paddle days
Support OCCA by donating through the link here OCCA: Giving Tuesday 2021, sharing our Eco-bulletin and social media channels with friends and family, and joining us for awesome events!
Please share our work to keep the momentum going!
November 15 is #AmericaRecyclesDay, a nationally recognized day, dedicated to bringing awareness to and energizing recycling across the United States. As we move into the holiday season, we hope everyone will use this day to dedicate themselves to recycling right, and reducing waste in general.
