As a thank you for participating, each participant will receive a coupon for 10% off at Brewery Ommegang’s Tap House Café. Grab lunch and a beer after you drop off your recycling! Buffer in a bag program applications open

New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is taking orders for their “Buffer in a Bag” program. Homeowners can receive a free bag of 25 tree and shrub seedlings for planting near streams, rivers or lakes to help stabilize banks, protect water quality and improve wildlife habitat. Visit DEC’s “Trees for Tribs” program web page to learn more about the importance of stream buffers and how to apply. Application period runs now through April 11.

Otsego Octet Winter Challenge continues

There’s still time to earn your Otsego Outdoors Winter Octet Challenge patch! Complete 8 of the featured trails/activities by March 19 and mail your completed registration form to our partners at Otsego 2000. If you’ve previously received a Winter Octet Challenge patch you can receive a rocker patch instead. Keep an eye out on www.otsegooutdoors.org and the EcoBulletin for new challenges!

Volunteers are needed to assist with the Earth Festival Drive Through, Drop Off event at Brewery Ommegang on 4/23/22. Volunteers will assist with directing traffic, unloading cars and sorting and packing recyclables. Please visit this page to sign up for a volunteer time slot.
