Little Thing #38: Support local artists and creators.

One great way to engage with your community and help the environment is to support local artists and creators. Now, more than ever, we can connect with local creators through social media or in-person events/shops. Otsego County is filled with amazing individuals waiting to share their work with you.

Spend time exploring our area by visiting farmer’s markets, artisan festivals, harvest festivals, art shows, and music concerts. By supporting local creators, you’ll benefit from quality products, and you will participate in sustainable living!

A great place to start is to visit your local Chamber of Commerce in person or online. Many artists and businesses are members, which will help you find new connections!

Help OCCA continue offering outdoor experiences, promoting sustainable practices, and advocating for the protection of the amazing natural beauty and resources we are so fortunate to have.

How You Can Help Protect Our Local Environment
